ini seru, blog yang isinya eksperimen2 make up bertema mingguan. jiwa gw menggelinjang denger kata 'eksperimen dandan'. jadi tanpa ragu2 dan malu2 gw ikutaaaannn...
tema minggu ini futuristik. well, hal pertama yang muncul di benak gw adalah warna silver, lalu neon. walaupun udah lama mikir2 mau gimana, ternyata eksekusinya ga semudah yang dibayangkan. untungnya anak gw tidur rada lamaan tadi siang jadi gw bisa menyelesaikan EOTD ini.

btw, ini hasil lenongan pertama di blog ini pake NYX S101. review dikit ah (belinya kapaaann review baru sekarang. gapapa ya? iya): jadi palet ini beneran palet yang wearable banget buat sehari2 deh. warnanya kebanyakan neutral, cakep2 buat siang dan malam. tapi buat kamu yang doyan warna dar der dor kurang recommended deh ya. warna2 yang paling terang di palet, ternyata tetep aja kalem waktu diaplikasiin. well, fotd gw yang ini menggunakan warna2 paling gonjreng disitu, tapi hasilnya tetep ngga gonjreng2 amat kaaann?

NYX MLBB round lipstick swatch

i looove NYX round lipstick! it's creamy and opaque enough to cover my dark lips. i have 5, and all of them is in the neutral/MLBB (my lips but better) area. if you want everyday lipstick, maybe you can choose one of these lipsticks.

(l-r): frappucino, B52, Herades, mars, tea rose.

as you can see above, frappucino is the nude with the hint of pink color. B52 have more bluish undertone, while mars is in between B52 and frappucino, more on the brownish side. heredes more like brick-red/orange, and tea rose is the most pinkish among all.
my favorite is frappucino. i'm on my second tube now. i find it the most flattering for my skin tone, make my face look fresh. basically i will wear all of them, but my least favorite might be mars. it's just too brown, make me look like i don't wear anything on my lips.

long delay, for good reason this time. tee hee.
yes, my baby has born, and i'm reborn. now my life has new meaning. :)

but before i introduce her to you, let's travel back for a while. i realized i didn't provide enough preggy pictures. though it may not too fancy, but it's rare moment.
when i was pregnant, i didn't buy any maternity clothes except the pants. and i wore the same thing all the time. so this picture practically representating what i wore in the whole preggo days. haha!

i fell in love at the first sight. this palette is just perfect for me!
let's start with its bunch of eyeshadows. it contains 35 e/s colors with neutral, greenish, purplish, to pinkish shade. it also contain one blue and one yellow color. the colors are more to warmer side, i guess. that's why i love it, beside its wide selection of greenish eyeshadow. i looove green!

the bronzer and blush on this kit doesn't disappointing either. it has various color selection from lighter to darker color which is great for every skin shade.

to be honest, i haven't try all of them on my face. just tried it once, and happy with the result! the color pay-off is great, and its bronzers and blushes are subtle, you can always build it!

with its price tag, this is the must-have item for all make up junkie! such a steal!

bad, bad blogger, i know!

apalagi saat ini gw sedang sangat terdistraksi dengan mempersiapkan diri jadi ibu baru, ngga kepikiran lagi untuk belanja2 buat diri sendiri apalagi memposting hal2 yang (sekarang jadi) ga penting itu di blog. oh so fail! hahaha.

well, now i'm not trying too hard to make this blog layak disebut fashion blog karena emang ngga. apalagi kemarenan isinya malah tentang per-makeup-an, wahaha! jadi ini emang personal blog berat, tapi ga akan gw lacurkan dengan tiba2 jadi ibu2 blog.. tenang, betapapun gw menginginkannya, gw ga akan tiba2 ngebahas cloth diaper kok! wakakakakakakakak!

anyway, i'm baaack!

foto ini diambil saat kandungan gw berusia 28 minggu. sementara saat gw menulis ini udah 33 minggu. sebegitu bad bloggernya emang gw, udah poto dari kapaaan, baru diupload sekarang. gapapa lah yaa, i just want to show you my belly, yang growing bigger seiring juga dengan bertambah besarnya badan gw (naik 15 kg btw). dari depan ga begitu keliatan ya, tapi dari samping wakwaaww...hahaha!

oh iya, leggingnya baru niihh, beli di cotton.ink, my second legging from them. i like it karena bahannya tebel dan high waist. high-waistnya emang ga oke buat kondisi gw sekarang, (punya pinggang aja ngga masih sok2an high waist! haha!) tapi nanti pasti akan oke sekaliii... itung2 investasi legging. (berdoa aja semoga ga melar saat gw kurus nanti. eh, kurus? amiiin! LOL!)

selama hamil ini gw emang jarang benjet pake dress kecuali di rumah (as known as daster). selain karena emang ga punya, gw juga ga semangat belinya. dari dulu gw kan jeans girl, rasanya tetep enakan pake jins deh buat kemana2. sementara orang2 di sekitar gw, terutama golongan2 tua pada meringis liat gw hamil gede tetep pake celana. hehehe.

but the bad news is my dear favorite maternity jeans (yang ukurannya M) udah sempit mampus. huhuhuhuhu!

so, legging is my only option. oh sama jegging berukuran L. hhh. pasrah deh, gw emang gedaaayy sekarang, apa mau dikate.

tapi biarpun disini gw ngebahas betapa besarnya badan gw, sebenernya itu sama sekali ga pentinglah. being a mom is the biggest wonder for me. tapi udah ah gw ga mau bragging gimana excitednya gw merasakan si bayi nendang2 di perut atau asiknya belanja keperluan bayi. cukup di twitter aja, hahaha...

bronzer trial + FOTD

like i said previously, i was really a bronzer virgin..till now. soon after i received my first bronzer ever, i try it on my face after some youtube tutorial.

i used stila sun spf 15 bronzing powder #2. it's matte, so it's safe to be used as all-over color. disco ball worry free! the color is buildable, depend on how tan would you want to be. me personally used it (mostly) as contouring color, to give dimension to my face.

for this look, i apply foundation (in this case i used bb cream) which is one step lighter than my skin color. it always make me look ghostly, that's why i need bronzer.

first, i apply bronzer in green area, which is contouring area. i found it by making 'fish look', suck my cheeks as much as i need to see the hollow below my cheeks. i did it several times till i achieve the right color depth. then i blend (with little color on my brush) the bronzer in blue area. as you can see, i made the big W on my face. from the temple, down to jawline, up to the nose. i add more color right below my apple of the cheeks and blend it thoroughly, make natural big W. i also dust some bronzer lightly in purple area.

in this look, i didn't only use bronzer, but also blush and highlighter. i wore my blush on the apple of the cheek to the temple and blend it with previous bronzer. then i applied highlighter on T-zone and my cheekbone. i used soft bronzer from Everyday minerals as my highllighter. true to the name, it really is soft, almost unnoticeable but i can see the difference.
voila! not too bad for first timer, aight? *big grin*

the chronicle of maternity jeans

i love wearing jeans, i could die without it. you can imagine how it hurts when i have to facing the truth that i can't wear my jeans anymore. with that fact, getting maternity jeans is my only option. sadly, getting them is not as easy as flipping hands. it should be well-fitting, good looking, hold my bumps and above all, comfortable.

that was my lucky day when i found this zara maternity jeans on sale booth in riau junction. there's no zara in Bandung, so i'm a bit overwhelmed when i found it. especially when they give 50% off the already discounted price!

this is a good maternity jeans. the stretch jersey hugging my bumps, hold the jeans which is nicely wrapped my butt. and the best part is i can still wearing size M! woo-hoo! (though in fact it was a huge version of size M, haha!)

Nyx, Mad minerals and Stila haul

two packages arrived today! and i'm uber-happy! it contains nyx 10 palettes for your eyes only in mysterious brown, mad minerals cream eyeshadow in nude frost, and stila sun spf 15 bronzing powder #2.

i believe all of these will become staples in my make up routine. here's why:

1. nyx 10 palettes for your eyes only in mysterious brown. this palette contain 10 subtle colors that compliment each other. all of them are pigmented and buildable without being chalky. however, i found their darkest one somehow less pigmented than the lighter one. i love most of the colors. my favorite is, of course, the green one. i try it on my lid, and the color pop without being over the top. loooveee it! i also love the violet and lilac one. it's subtle yet showed, though i haven't try it on my lid but i guess it will be great.

2. mad minerals cream eyeshadow in nude frost. the color is sooo nice for my skin tone. i used it for base and highlighter. well, as a base, it doesn't really do anything for your eyeshadow unless to make it stay longer. i mean, it doesn't make your shadow color more vibrant or else. but the texture is great. it's not sticky or creased because it turned powdery as soon as you apply it. and nude frost is the great yellowish nude color with shimmer. for me, this is highlighter i've been longing for so long!

3. stila sun spf 15 bronzing powder #2. this is my first bronzer ever. before this, i was such a bronzer virgin. getting a bronzer means i step forward to the next level of beauty school world. hahaha.with my non-existent experience, i guess i can't make a good judge of how this bronzer works. but with newbie eyes, i can tell you one thing or two about this bronzer. it's a very-subtle-almost-matte bronzer, though if you look more closely you can see a bit shimmer in it. it's like medium-dark powder in pan, but apparently it's not dark on my NC40 skin. yes, it has orangey-tinge, but i found it okay. i just used it slightly on my cheek to look how it turn out on my skin, and so far i like it. will inform the development later, i need more practice in this department! haha.

udah lama gw dan icha merencanakan untuk syoping2 kosmetik murah-seru di mahmud. hampir tiap hari kita ceting, ngomongin kira2 apa aja ya yang mau dibeli di si mahmud indang. hehehe.

dan akhirnya hari itu dataaaaanggg!setelah ubek2 berjam2, inilah hasil belanjaan eyke...

1. kuas blush on. merknya entahlah. gw beli karena gw selalu butuh kuas gede buat berbagai blush on. sebenernya gw lebih butuh kuas miring, tapi ngga ada yg oke. jadi ini aja deh. well, quality wise masih kalah sama kuas pupa yg harganya lebih murah.

2. maybelline volume express cat eyes. aku sukaaaa!! gw bukan orang yg mascara-minded, prinsip gw one mascara at a time aja deh. dan karena maskara maybelline volume express gw itu udah berusia lebih dari tiga bulan, butuh dong yeee maskara baru. dan si mata kucing ini emang mantep! kuasnya kecil kaya sisir, jadi lebih gampang menjangkau daerah2 sulit, terutama bulu mata bawah, dimana aga susah kalo pake volume express biasa yang kuasnya gede itu.

3. oriflame vision eyeliner pencil. gw belinya iseng, karena gw ga punya satupun eyeliner pensil. belom pernah dicoba sih, tapi di tangan sih lumayan kereng. ya lumayan deh buat punya-punyaan aja...

4. pensil alis viva. ini sih emang karena butuh, udah keabisan. dari dulu gw pake ini, males ganti2 lagi. udah cuco booo...

5. my darling liquid eyeliner. bought it after good rave di FD. buat sebuah eyeliner cair ini murahnya kebangetan. dan hasilnya oke juga, sekali poles kereng dia. kemaren sempet test drive, jalan2 dan huhujanan dari pagi (siang) sampe malem. hasilnya, agak flaky in the end of the day. mungkin emang ga buat sehari-hari, jadi mungkin akan gw pake buat pesta2 aja. yang jelas ga rugi deh beli ini, definitely will repurchase!

6. lipstik revlon in fleshtone. ini baru belanjaan kalap. ga ada niat sama sekali buat belanja lipstik, apalagi gw juga baru beli si mauve it over kemaren. tapi pas icha asik milih2 lipstik, eh kok ya gw tergoda juga buat beli. dasar banci lipstik. btw banyak orang bilang lipstik super lustrous ini bikin bibir super kering, tapi gw tetep demen lho bagaimanapun juga. udah nyoba lipstik ini-itu tetep aja dong gw baliknya ke revlon lagi. mungkin karena murce dan pilihan warnanya banyak. hohohoho.

7. milani mai tai. oh kalo ini bukan belanjaan toko mahmud, tapi MP FD. akhir2 ini gw agak banci blush on dan merasa kok blush gw itu2 aja ya? kayanya emang butuh, dan pilihanku jatuh pada milani mai tai yang super pigmented ini. wow, sekali swipe aja warnanya udah kereng abeeessss... di pan emang rada nakutin, tapi pas dipake dia semu2 pink-peach bikin pipi gw jadi malyu-malyu. ah, suka ahh!

btw, total kerusakan mahmud kali ini 170ribu saja buat 6 item. seruuuuu....

muji cleansing oil wonders

although i've noticed this new form of cleanser for years, i just got a chance to try this a while ago. and i'm hooked!

at first i was a bit skeptical, oil to remove oil, is that possible? but good raves everywhere somehow tickle my mind, maybe it's worth a try. however, this thought not necessarily made me grab it fast. please excuse my cheap mind, but back then, shu uemura cleansing oil seems like the best and the most available in the market, and this shu one, of course, a bit pricey for my liking.

a few years later, i heard about the greatness of muji cleansing oil. with half of shu's price, yes, oh yes, it's really worth to try! so i bought their 50ml one, only to experienced the new form of cleanser.

after first application, all my doubt is gone. this product certainly remove make up, dirt and grease on my face, leaving my skin so smooth and clean.

btw, this is how to use cleansing oil:

1. glide 2-3 drops of cleansing oil to your entire (dry) face, including eyelid and lips (if you feel so). you can also wipe your lashes gently with fingers if you want to remove your mascara.

2. splash a bit water and massage your face gently to emulsify the cleansing oil. you can see the oil turns white in this point. (this is the most important point)

3. add more water, massage it through until your skin feels clean.

4. some people still feel the urge to use cleansing foam afterwards, but i don't. you can skip it if you like.

5. wipe your face with your favorite toner/astringent.

by this time, you usually can't find the excess of dirt on your cotton. well, sometimes i didn't wipe my eye area enough the mascara still on, so i wipe it with my usual make up remover. overall i feel clean already. with its power, i practically save time (and money) for layers of cotton with cleansing milk.

my first attempt is muji cleansing oil for sensitive skin (grey writings), product from Japan, and i'm instantly in love with it. so, when my auntie took a visit to Japan, i asked her to bought this muji cleansing oil in bigger size.

but then she bought me the other variant, with the red writings on it. i'm not really sure what kind of variant this is, since all the writings is in japanese (can't read/understand it), but i read somewhere that muji with red writings is for normal skin.

i'm not complaining, really, especially since she bought me bigger size than i thought, and she gave it for free. *smooches to my kind auntie*

at first, i didn't really like this new variant. i found it more difficult to erased, my skin still feels greasy after lots of water splash. but in the second application, i learned that it need more emulsifying. after that, yay to clean-feel! i also noticed that this normal skin variant leave my skin more moist, no stiff like the sensitive variant. oh i'm so-in-love.

FYI, i used it mostly after heavy make up. in the morning, i still used my usual cleansing foam. one day, i found my skin dry and flaking on T-zone. it's a bit unusual since i have normal to oily combination skin. maybe it's pregnancy hormones' fault.

then i'm running out of cleansing foam, so i used cleansing oil twice a day, and my oh my, my skin now moist, brighter, no more flake and dry skin. i know it's cleansing oil's job since i don't wear my usual moisturizer (no reason, just lazy).

my mom always said my skin was clearer and brighter soon after i used this product. oh wow. what can i say? i'm truly hooked. i wish i never run out of this product! :D

i'm not an expert in make up, i just love it. but i don't love it enough to splurge more than i should (as always..buahaha). that's why i don't really have the urge to show you my beauty supply, in this case, brushes. because, i'm not so proud of it. i tend to buy dirt cheap brushes (especially for eyes) with unknown quality. if it's good enough for me, i'll use it regularly. and if it's crap, i'll buy a new one. that simple, really.

but dewdew, an fd member, inspired me to do this. yes, it's for you! hahaha. she said good brush is a key to good make up. totally agree! yet i'm not really sure i've used good brush. yes, they're work well for me, but i don't know if they're really good.

ah, however, these are my brushes:

1. some dirt cheap brushes i bought in some beauty store. it only cost me idr 5000. it has double ended. before i bought eyeliner brushes, i used the below end to wear my eyeliner, but it's not good enough. while the other end is my favorite crease and outer lid brush. thanks to the (almost) triangle shape!

2. pupa eyeliner brush. just bought it and in love with it. it's so sharp to make a thin line and you can still make a thick line with it. love love love! forget the other end, it looks like bottle brush to me. wehehehehe.

3. e.l.f blending brush. just arrived yesterday, haven't got a chance to actually use it. but the bristle is so soft, i hope it could do wonder.

4. e.l.f eyeshadow brush. got this after the excellent review. love it! before the blending brush arrival, i used this to blend my eyeshadow. it's soft and dense, so comfy!lately i realize, it's good to pick up color, especially for lid area where you don't need precision.

5. angled brush. my first angled brush, and the best. it pick enough color for my lower lash line. 6. well, i'm not really sure what kind of brush this is. it look like lip brushes, but i find it too small for lips, especially for wide lips like mine. haha. so i use it to wear some e/s or pigment on my waterline. it's so small and sharp, with soft bristles. so far, it works fine for me.

7. eyeliner brush. haven't really try it. still in love with pupa eyeliner brush. hohohoho.

8. it's the least quality brush. rough bristles, cannot pick enough color. but it works fine for wet application. i always foiling my pigment with glycerine and use it as a base. my eyeshadow stays all day!

9. it's crappy. never used it.

10. concealer brush. it only works fine for powder concealer. i should get better brush for cream concealer.

11. everyday minerals flat top brush. my most precious brush among all. haha. it works wonder. no need to explain.

12. coastal scents skunk brush. not so good dupe of MAC 187. it's uber soft, but it shed like crazy! i don't really use it anyway.

13. pupa blush brush. new brush i use regularly! it only cost me idr 14000 but it's surprisingly soft! since i've had two pupa brushes and love them both, i wondering, pupa ini merk apa ya? merk darimana? kali aja emang good quality semua barang2nya..hmmm...

well, that's all my humble experience with brushes. whatever the brush is, you need it! never count on the applicator you got from your products! *grin*

cheap and happy

gw emang gadis murahan. demen yang murah2 bok.

dan beberapa saat yang lalu gw mengadakan acara belanja belenji cakep-hemat. ini barang2nya:

1. kuas2 eyeliner merek pupa dan zuangcangcingcong (apalah mereknya ga penting). ini gw dapet di toko mahmud (yang akhir2 ini jadi toko kesayangan) waktu nganterin Icha the newbencong. ternyata eh ternyata kuasnya enak dipake! terutama yang mereknya pupa (tengah), harganya 3ribu perak doang maleeehh..

kuas ini gw pake tentunya untuk membubuhkan MAD cream eyeliner favorit gw itu. sebenernya ini double ended tapi aduh mascara wandnya ga penting aahhh..

2. Sari Ayu loose powder. yang ini aga mahalan, sepuluhribu perak (mahal kata lo, nggi?). memutuskan beli ini karena racun FD, seperti biasa. tapi manis deh racunnya, gw demeeeeeennn bener sama nih bedak! coveragenya bagus, warnanya masuk sama skin tone gw, dan awet pula, muka gw matte seharian. ya ga seharian sih, setengah hari deh. tapi ya namanya bedak murahan, tetep ada cons-nya: bubuknya aga kasar, dan puffnya ngga banget. biasanya tu puff cuma gw pake buat tepok2 terus lanjutannya gw rapikan pake flat top brush. terus kalo nepok2nya kebanyakan gw suka batuk2 sendiri. huehehehe...

oh, ini juga ada wanginya. wangi emak-emak. :D

oiya, gw beli yang shadenya kuning penganten. ini seriusan warnanya kuning. buat yg yellow skin toned abis, ini cocoklaahh...

3. Revlon matte lipstick 'mauve it over'. ini juga kena racuuun gara2 mantengin thread revlon mulu. sebenernya gw ga terlalu butuh lipstik baru, tapi dasar racun racun duniaaa gw jadi penasaran. apalagi i'm such a sucker for lipstick!

anyway, quality wise ni lipstick oke ya, ga kering, warnanya juga bagus. tapi pucet di bibir gw yang pigmented alias item. kayanya cociks kalo dipadankan dengan heavy eyes. suatu saat nanti akan kucoba.

si mauve it over ini best selling shade di line matte. emang warna nude wajib punya!

ohya, price wise, cuma 50rebu aja, and worth every penny!

blog ini lately kok jadi agak nyasar jadi blog beauty. halah. gapapa lah ya, dikiiittt...

beberapa hari kemaren gw sedang sangat enerjik dalam mengkaryakan mata. kaga peduli muka lagi breakout dan alis menghutan, saya tetap tampiiiillll.... buahahaha!

yang ini judulnya golden-purple. i think it's not an ordinary combination. tapi ternyata hasilnya ya lumayanlaaahhh... kembali mengkaryakan pigment rose gold yang tadinya gw benci banget (karena entah kenapa pas make pertama kali gw instantly ngerasa kaya penganten, not in the good way) tapi sekarang jadi cintaa.

kemudian gw merasa, i really need another purple eyeshadow! okey, maybe a few more purple eyeshadow. satu mana cukup cyiiiinn... buahaha!

setelah itu gw menghapus mekap yang di lid dan menggantinya dengan si ijo2 ini. kali ini ijonya gw campur kuning, dan chartreuse, my new favorite pigment! entah ada apa dengan gw dan eyeshadow ijo. i got a lot and still want more! huehehehehe...

i miss this blog! seriously!

sorry for the lack of posting. i don't know if there's anyone missing me (haha), but i seriously miss blogging!

lately, i'm a bit off in clothing and shopping department. since i become home-prisoner, didn't go anywhere, i'm hardly wear my shoes, nor proper clothes. but i do LOVE make up!

i still going nowhere outside the house, but playing with make up is soooo fun! i gain my love back with this department.

the good side is i don't have to spend much money to have fun. i still have my stash from the glory days and it's enough (NOT!). well, i do buy one or two things out of curiousity, when the product is great-reviewed and i feel like need it. ...and few of 'laper mata' items.

anyhoo, this is a few of my experiment.

it's one of the easiest eye make up for everyday wear. actually, i just wanna test the camera. i took it with flash, something i don't usually do. i like the photo result, it's sharp enough, catching the color enough, even it catch my tiredness enough. duh.

sorry, i did it in the evening, almost bed time. so i'm sleepy and tired, and it shows in my eyes.

it has an elastic band on it, so it can handle my enormous hips, while others fail.

aand look at my belly! it's getting bigger! (OK, not only belly, I AM getting bigger. d'uh!)

Jell-o!
This post will contain no picture (again), because.. I'm just plain lazy. I did zero productive things in past 4 weeks. Be it my major responsibility or hobby, and this blog is one of those abandoned things.
I give myself a whole month off. from my work and thesis, but I didn't have plan to give up the blog. In fact, I planned to make one more blog, some pregnancy and baby blog. But that isn't happen yet, even after my 10th weeks pregnancy. I'm sooo failed. :(

Well, maybe pregnancy and laptop just isn't like each other. I only open my laptop to play some games or watching dvd, in my most 'fresh' time. And those 'fresh' time is somewhat rare. Haha.
What I do these days is just.. Well, sleep much, eat much, counting my daily intake of nutrition and supplement. Other than that might just watching TV, some DVDs, and tweeting (ini penting!). Haha!
But I still going out with hubby every weekend, the only time I actually go out.

After two and a half months, I can feel (and see) myself bloated. I can't wear my jeans anymore, especially the high-waist one, because, apparently, I have no waist. But I have boobs! Hehehehe..
With this new body shape, I have no much clothing choice. I realized now I have so small clothing cycle. Blouse+legging, dress+jacket, blouse+pants, and flats! Plus, I avoid fitted tee and my favorite waist belt (and waist everything! Sigh).
However, being preggy doesn't necessarily mean you can't look good. We can still playing with accessories like necklace, shawl, bracelet, bag, earrings, etc!
The only challenge for me is just how to look good and fresh without spending a penny. Being preggy is money-spender enough. So I have to think harder of how to make anything in my closet work.

Ok, maybe it's time for me to diggin' my closet! I'll report any development soon! Hehehehe..

Different days

Dear fellow bloggers,
I feel like a sinner, abandoned my own blog for too long. :(

I'm not gonna say I'm too busy this time, since I'm not. In fact, I have a whole lotta time for myself, but with condition.

I'm 8 weeks pregnant now! Yay!
It explains everything, aight? In my first trimester of pregnancy, I feel anything preggie moms do. Nausea, lightheaded, weakness, I can't even open my laptop to write single line here.
Now everything seems different. From the way I live to the way I look. With my baby growth, my body also growing bigger. No more skinny and high waist jeans for me. Picking the right clothes is a challenge, since I've never been this big before.

I promise I'll make a post about pre-natal clothing next time. Even though I'll look so big and gross, after all it's only nine months, I have to cherish it! :D

the shopping season is here!! yay! haha. this is what i purchased in the shopping day with hubby.

1. GAP jacket, purchased it on Grande, some factory outlet in Bandung. cute, comfy jacket for everyday use.
2. Birdie belt, from Royal Queen, a small boutique owned by our friend in Jl. Ternate Bandung. i always fall for waist belt, plus it has black and gold ensemble. double love!
3. Zippered shirt, from EST. it's no secret that i'm craving for some zipper.
4. Grey dress, from happy-go-lucky. it's my first visit to happy-go-lucky, a small and cute boutique at Jl. Ciliwung 14 Bandung. i'm impressed with their products, can't help to buy this unique-shaped dress. simple and so me. :D

when i got home, just realized i bought all-grey ensemble. this is totally unintentional.
to make it worse (or just to match it), i also bought this cotton.ink legging in dark grey. aha!

When I first saw this Sash limited collection in JUICE magazine, I’m falling instantly. Not quite sure why, I’m lusting over black again. I promised myself a while ago, will add more color in my closet, but this black temptation is just too strong to avoid.
So I’m heading to their website and see the entire collection. I like them all! But nothing quite shoot me right at heart to lead my finger hit the ‘buy’ button.

My first pick is the black asymmetrical dress. But on second thought, I know I won’t wear it much, and it will not so wise regarding to the price. Second pick goes to another dresses. Skipped it with very same reason. Then I move to another item, this time is cardigan and blouse. Still, something not right, my heart didn’t approve.
FYI, I always shopping with instinct, don’t know if it’s good or not, but sometimes my instinct works better than my brain.

In the middle of browsing around, I remember the midi black dress I bought in Public Affair a year ago. I didn’t wear it much, but it only cost me 80k so nothing to lose. I thought it can be the substitute for this 250k Sash dresses. It’s not fancy but quite good to be the basic black dress.
So I paired it with my DIY studded jacket, zippered boots, chained necklace and quilted bag. Not too shabby. In fact, I like it. I guess I have to learn to wear skirt sometimes.

PS: I’m still in lust with the Sash dress. Help?

TORTURE

these pics was taken on wednesday, right before I took the trip to Jakarta. Right before my feet's nightmare started.

what nightmare?

It all began with my urge of wearing new shoes to class. I thought it will be great to wear it while i'm working as a lecturer. and it'll also great if i wear it to Senayan City, have a good laugh with my girlfriend from high school. lastly, it'll also great for another meet-ups with my college friends in PVJ before i go home.

this is my original plan:

1. take point to point shuttle service from Bandung to Jakarta.

2. arrived in Jakarta, take a cab from SCBD to Senayan City.

3. my husband will pick me up in SenCi and we'll go home together.

4. going to campus by motorcycle with dad.

5. have a long day at campus. i have two classes, 5 hour each.

6. going home with dad. (FYI, my dad is a lecturer in the same campus)

7. going back to bandung.

8. have an easy ride with public transportation from pasteur-PVJ

9. waiting for my sister to pick me up and home.

with that thoughts in mind, i decided to pack lightly, with no spare shoes, and only one blouse.

and here my plan goes...

1. take point to point shuttle service from Bandung to Jakarta. --> smooth as silk

2. arrived in Jakarta, take a cab from SCBD to Senayan City. --> earthquake!!! i didn't feel it at all, but couldn't avoid the after-effect. chaos everywhere!

i did arrived in SCBD safe and sound, but couldn't find a single available taxi to senayan city. even if I did, i'm sure i'll stuck in the chaotic traffic jam. so, with google maps in hand, i walked to the glorious senayan city.

note it: walked, by foot, in 8 cm wedges which is killing my feet, for about 3 km, in the middle of chaotic main street.

i'm finally arrived tho, sore feet, almost-faint, but happy.

3. my husband will pick me up in SenCi and we'll go home together.--> suddenly, my husband got some issues in his work he couldn't pick me. while i have to go home to Depok, which is miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiles from there. fortunately my friend Kiva's husband willing to drop me to my husband's work site in Cawang. it was miles too. cannot reach it by foot this time or i'll be, seriously, dead.

4. going to campus by motorcycle with dad.

5. have a long day at campus. i have two classes, 5 hour each. --> my schedule's happen to rearranged. instead of long one day, i got two short day. and it was short notice, too late, i've already there and dandy! damn. so, i decided to take a walk home and sleep.

please notice the word 'take a walk'. yes, i tortured my feet again. the road i took is, of course, NOT heels-friendly. i almost tripped the whole time. *sigh*

FYI, jarak antara rumah dan kampus tuh cuma selemparan kolor, tapi mesti ada jalan kakinya, dan medannya off road berat. canggih deh.

first (and only) thing i did when i arrived home is sleeping, resting my feet before i took the same road for next class. oh-my-god.

6. going home with dad. in the very end. finally. *pengsan*

7. going back to bandung.--> nope, not yet. i had second class in the next day! even though i didn't take long, heels unfriendly way by foot, but i have to stand for about 5 hours in class. yet another torture. this time i really, really wanna get rid of this shoes immediately! promise myself will not wear it for a year from now on!!

8. going back to bandung. have an easy ride with public transportation from pasteur-PVJ--> surprisingly, it's so hard to find angkot in pasteur in that particular time. should i mention torture again? *nangis kenceng-kenceng*

9. waiting for my sister to pick me up and home.--> get rid of the shoes, at last.

good lesson: never leave your flats at home. i mean it.

Hello dearies!

Oh wow, it's been ages since the last time I made outfit post! Aha. Not that it's so inspirational, but I have to be consistent with what I've started, ain't it? *grin*

However, I still can't provide it anytime soon, with these following reason:
1. Lack of tripod. My sister's friend borrow it and hasn't return it. Well, I need that tripod because apparently no one willing to snap hundreds picture of me. They usually take one or two pictures, doesn't really care if the result is good or not. On the other hand, me, as the model, isn't so photogenic. It took hundreds before we can find the decent pic. Yes I'm that lame. Haha.
2. Lack of inspirations. I wear the same things over and over again. Its like living in the single suitcase. Same pants, same jacket, mixed with different tops and shoes. That's it! Not so interesting, ain't it?

By the way, I change my header picture. Do you like it? :D

Is anybody here watching skins? I'm kinda late to catch the hype. I just bought the DVD and watch it continuosly from season 1 to 3. I like it!! Ahaha. I'm looking forward for their next season. I heard they'll start taping it soon. *crossing finger*
Before I saw it, I heard somebody said it's like british gossip girl. Well, it might be, but somehow I like it better than gossip girl. No unnecessary thing such as being a queen at school. Duh.
In the third season they changed the character. I still like the first characters better, they all equal in qualities. Meanwhile, the characters in third season is somehow typical. Too pretty, too cool, too un-cool, too handsome, too wild, too slutty, too naïve. Boring.
I wish they'll bring back original characters in season 4. Tee hee.

Bb cream vol 2

The quest of HG bb cream continue!

Btw, some of my friends asked me, what is this bb cream actually?
The least I can say might be: a foundation with benefit. It's like primer, foundation, sun block, moisturizer, whitening become one. It said as the magic cream. Haha, seems overrated. Maybe because when you put it on, your face magically looks better! Of course, your face will be back to normal once you wear it off. But it said that it has some benefit with daily use such as whitening, anti wrinkle, etc (depend on the product, of course)
And what kind of better it will be? Well, as for me, it vanished my pore, (slightly) hide my acne scars, make my face look even.

Then the quest continued..

My 4th attempt is Missha watery. True to the name, this bbcream tend to be watery. Not too runny, it's more creamy AND water. I guess you have to shake it before appliance. A bit weird, but it didn't affect the performance, though. So far I like it!
It's sheerer than the first three, but the shade is great for my skin! Oil control so-so. It give you glowy finish (not greasy) you might want to tap powder after it (but I don't). After a few hours I can see my nose a bit oily, but in the end of the day my face still look OK. This is the product I find myself grabbing often.

The 5th attempt is A'pieu fresh. Well, I can safely say it's fail to me. Coverage better than missha watery, the shade is yellowish, it said it has good oil control. But for me, it can't blend in my skin well. Even though they look not too fair in the tube (compared to missha PC #21), it still leave whitish tone in my face. After few hours, I can see my face patchy, one side fairer than the other, and it's greasy too. No oil control, instead it drying my face. Blahh.
So far this is the worst bbcream I ever tried. Too bad, I actually love the texture. Maybe it's just not for me, cos I heard some people love it.

After 5 attempt (yes, five is enough for me). I decided to end the quest and give the HG status (for the moment) to Missha watery! This is the darkest bbcream I've ever seen yet it still light for my skin (am I that tan? Seriously). My grandma said my face look good, and she said it after I did my daily activity which is full of sweats and dusts. Ha!

BB cream craze

have you tried bb cream yet?

maybe some of you haven't recognize what bb cream is. BB stands to blemish balm. no, it's not an acne cream. it's more like tinted foundation with an advantage of moisturizer, nourisher, primer and sunblock. it said as the secret of Korean stars flawless face's secret. :D

i'm not a fan of Korean stars, but this bb cream seems promising. tried and tested.

i've been using it about a year now, but not religiously. my first (for a long time) bb cream is dodo club since it's easy to find (on the internet), got a good review, and cheap (of course).
i like how this (claimed as) magic cream done with my face. it make my face supple and better by slightly covering impurities. but a thing about this dodo club is it doesn't match my skin tone. as a common Asian, i'm yellow-toned, and this dodo cream is more pink-toned. even though bb cream's coloring tend to blend with our skin, it still annoy me.

that's why, after long time, i finally has a courage to find another bb cream that really suit me. and now it seems more difficult (or easier?) since there are soooo many range of bb cream to pick. oh.
my second try is Missha Perfect Cover #21. unlike the dodo club one, it has two color selection, 21 and 23. 21 is fairer than 23, while the 21 has more yellowy undertone, 23 is more pinkish. so i pick the 21. turn out it's way fairer than my skin i look like a ghost. and though it said as more yellowy, it's still pinkish to me. despite of the color, it's actually good bb cream. high SPF, good coverage, easy to blend, good oil control.

i found it quite difficult to find the perfect bb cream for my skin tone. since most of the bb creams are originated from Korea for Korean market, they were tend to have fair colors. dodo club was said as the dark bb cream, and it still too fair for my tanned skin. :(

the search continued, then i try scandal bb cream. i think it's dc now, so hard to find it in the market. i heard that it was one of the dark bb cream, with good review (no SPF, though), and nice packaging! tee hee..

it has better coloring than two previous bb cream! slightly grayish tho, but ok. i think it will suit better for night out since it has no SPF, and the coverage is somehow heavy (especially if i want my face look entirely flawless from those nasty acne scars).

that said, i need to search more! :D

Fashionese Daily is Indonesia’s leading blog about fashion and beauty which also has their own forum. Their forum is so great, with more than five thousand member of Indonesians in all over the world!
With a noble mission of uniting their forum members, Fashionese Daily (FD) held their first big gathering. Yay!
For me, it was my very first time to see the face behind the nicknames. Though I’m not very active in the forum, but I notice some nicknames, and we’re in touch by twitter (and blog), so meeting them in flesh is such an exciting thing!
I’m glad I took a trip from Bandung to Jakarta to meet the beautiful girls of FD. They’re fun and friendly. Initially, I wanna be acquainted with all of the members there, but they are too many with too little time.
But I’m so happy to finally meet fellow bloggers I listed here, such as Dhyta, Putri, Mike, Novnov and many familiar nicknames. They’re awesome!

jakarta trip day 2

Ah, in case you’re wondering, I’m here and fine. *grin*
Apologize for sporadic posting, especially when I’m supposed to write continuous story. My bad. :(

At first it’s hard to decide where to go in day two. But then we decided to had a lunch at PIM.
Since it’s our third mall already, we were not as excited as the other day. Mall to mall, they’re just slightly differ, but they’re practically the same. Yes, they have the same tenant, such as ZARA, which was held a mid-year sale. My hubby falling for their shoes he saw in Grand Indonesia, but they were ran out his size. Fortunately, the PIM one got his size, and it fit perfectly well, so, another shoes for him!

We had lunch at Pasta de Waraku. It’s our first try, and we were mesmerized by their number of choices. After quite a while, we decided our menu of the day. I forgot the exact name of the menu, but I had the soup with scallop and he had the spaghetti with crab cake. They were faboosh! I wanna try other menus!

Contented with pasta, we still had some room for frozen yogurt (again). This time we try heavenly blush. I pick the ori-pome twist, and I should agree, the pome one tastes like ol’ sugus candy. Haha! It’s good, but I still like tutti frutti and jcool better. I don’t really like this HB after-taste. But oh, their mochi topping is better than tutti frutti tho!

The first thing we did when we arrived to jakarta is going to his project office. He had to do something related to work, and I was tagging along with him. It’s my first visit, and I’m quite impressed with the way they work. It seems complicated. Indeed it is.

The weather was frickin’ hot, and we’re hungry. So he took me to the place near the project office where he used to eat daily. Despite of the place, the food is pretty good! Big treat for our tummy!
After that, we headed to Plaza Senayan. Lancome held an event to promote their latest product, oscillation mascara, and they give an offer to Fashionese Daily member to get a free makeover and goodie bag. Since I didn’t get the chance for their makeover, I tried the goodie bag purchasement. It only required a password from FD, and voila, Lancome goodie bag for me! I also tried their new mascara which make me fall in love at first application. It gave extra oomph to my lashes with no extra effort. The only downfall of this product is, of course, the price. Oh well, a mascara worth the price of three (cheap) shoes? No, thank you.

We spent the day mall-hopping, from PS to Senayan City to Grand Indonesia.
In Grand Indonesia, we met my college buddies. It’s been too long since the last time I met them, and they still the same (tetep doyan maen DDR, tetep heboh, tetep ga tau malu dan tetep lacur. Wakakakak). From their outfit you can guess where they’re from. Yes, they were fresh from the wedding. If I could, I would go to the wedding too, but in this circumstances, Fifi, I can only give you my best wishes! J
Ok, wedding outfit+dance dance revolution game= no match. But they did it anyway. LOL

We call it a day after a medium treat of burger king. No burger king in Bandung, so it’s special to me. Ah, we didn’t forget taking picture, by the way. Tee hee.

By the end of the day, we were taking home two sunglasses from Topshop and Forever 21. We also had a chance to try Tutti Frutti the frozen Yogurt.

Hello fellow bloggers! Ah, it’s been ages after my last post (berlebay). I have LOTS of stories to tell, with NO pictures at all. But however, I still gonna tell you my stories…
It’s not the most important thing in the world, but it’s good to share! :D

My weekend started on Friday by having a girl’s night out with my friend Icha. We had karaoke (our theme: Tribute to MJ. :D) and dinner at the Tree House, one of the new spot in town. It said that sausage is their specialty so I ordered their grilled bratwurst. I’m not much a processed-meat lover/observer, so if you ask me if it’s any good, I’d say yes. I might order it again next time. But I loove their rum raisin milkshake. Though it can’t beat banana mocha by Mocha Blend which I had last Wednesday.

On Saturday, me and husband did our usual Saturday night ritual, mall-hopping. Hohoho. Not too exciting, though. We had Lomie for brunch, then Sundanese food for dinner. Yummeee…

We attended our high school friend’s wedding on Sunday. I wore my new shoes, dramatic silvery-dark grey make up and my black vintage dress. But uh-oh, I look over the top! Even one of my friend only wearing blouse, jeans and flats! What an irony. I’m glad I didn’t wear kebaya and hair bun or I might mistaken as the bride.
Ok. That was too exaggerated. LOL
We ended the night with CSI supreme Sunday on AXN with breadtalk in hand (and mouth). Ah, last day of weekend.

Yesterday, I just got the news from Fashionesedaily that I am one of the MAC-FD contest winner! I’m sooooo excited. I got free ticket to attend MAC intimate with Gregory Arlt plus IDR 250k voucher for MAC products! Since I’m such a MAC virgin, well not so virgin but I don’t have much experience (no MAC store in Bandung, helloo..), I learned to pick what will I purchase with that voucher. I even consulted with MAC guru from Far East aka my friend Kiva. :D
I’ve never win anything before so you can tell how excited I am! Oh yayy!! *norak2 bergembira*

what can make a girl happy? new shoes, undeniably.

i wasn't intended to buy new shoes, considering the new shoes i just got more than a week ago and i'm not much a shopper.

but charles & keith held a sale for about a month now and they also have further price reduction for some stuffs. this shoes is included with the 60% off the original price. i bet it was old stock, and this was the last pair they got, with my size!

i love everything about it. the suede material, the colors, the heel height, and of course the price! (eventhough i didn't really buy it. my hubby did. :p)

i know it's not the 'trendy' shoes, but for something i didn't wear much, i'm good with classic style. a girl could never had too much pump shoe (and shoes in general.hohoho).

thanks C&K for cutting the price so my hubby would let himself buy me this lovely shoes. :D

Speaking of shoe addiction, we gotta count my husband in. Truth to be told, he was more expert than me in collecting shoes. He’s been a shoe addict since junior high and never retired since. But after massive weight gain and loss, he has to let several collection go. Now his shoes amount has been reduced, but the passion’s still alive.
However, the same passion isn’t equal with the same condition. When he was a single guy, he could spent his last dime for shoes, with no further thought. Now that he have me to taken care of, he got waaaay more things to considered before he buy a pair of shoes. *poor thing* So, he buried his interest of shoes deep inside his heart and gradually lose his addiction.
But something tickled his mind when he saw this shoes. He was hesitated at first, since the shop mostly featured women’s shoes. But he took the risk and ordered a custom-made shoes in his size. Oh, FYI, he purchased it on Galdy, the same shoe maker who made my earlier boots. It was our first try, and we had no high expectation. Surprisingly, the shoes fit him well and comfy enough! It’s pretty fair to be casual Sunday shoe. He was so happy to get new shoes with nothing-to-worry price.

short trip to Rajapolah

about a week ago, me and husband went to Rajapolah, Tasikmalaya, West Java. this place famously known as the center of wickerwork. i went there after my lecturer's suggestion for my thesis, but the trip end up quite fun, it was like a full-day date. tee hee..

frankly, it's my first trip to rajapolah. i don't even aware of their existence before. that was sad. rajapolah seems pretty slack when i was there. only a few costumer in several shops, and none in others. maybe i went in the off season, or maybe this thing happen on all seasons. i don't know. however, for Rajapolah first-time-er, i'm quite impressed with their product. they're range from so-so to best, quality wise. although you can always find the same one on the souvenir's shops near you, but this is like souvenir heaven. of course it's way cheaper than any souvenir's
shop anywhere. and you can still bargaining.

there are many things attracted my eyes (mostly home accesories) but to remember we don't have space to put them, we didn't buy as much as we want. btw i was too absorbed in shopping around so i didn't take any close-up photos of their products. but here is a few busier (yet still look quite) shops there.

Bandung-Rajapolah took about 3 hours trip. the road is twisting and there are many no-helmet motorcycle rider riding their bike in full speed. that was frightening! but however, the scenery around could make me calmer. for a city girl like me, farm and mountain is a wow-factor. hohoho.

i fell in love with this boots at first sight. but unfortunately they ran out of my size so i had to wait for 2 weeks while they made my shoes. and it finally here now!

i purchased this from Galdy, one of the cheap shoe-maker in town. i never been a fan of this company. they're mostly produce uncomfortable flat shoes. but they do good with this boots. it has moderately-pointy toes, good material, with padded inner body and sole. it was worth the price. and i'm happy!now i need some heeled shoes. *duh!*

i spend the day talking about him with my friend, watching every news about him on TV, listening to his songs, and watching his videos on youtube.
when i search for his songs on youtube, i recall his songs often has deep meaning. his concern about hunger, racism, earth, AIDS, and that make me sadder. i even cry right now listening to will you be there.

i just did some cleaning on my dressing table. i threw the expired stuffs, and made space for new one. hohoho.. then i found some eye shadows and pigments i never used. i realized i left my face bare for too long. so today i decided to wear some make up, especially to use some eye shadow i rarely wear. and the surprising fact is, it consisted of natural chocolate-y shade! the most subtle colors, and i seldom wear it! oh well...
so i put my bronze e/s, tan pigment (both from MAC) and the dark brown side of L'oreal HIP.
i don't hate the result, nor love it. it's just OK. i miss my teal pigment already. hahaha...
after the subtle make up, let's spice it a bit with bright color!

i don't know what's gotten into me yesterday, but i feel like getting my closet re-organized. this closet is where i put my precious stash: clothes, bags and accessories. see, they're not much, but gathering them in one place give me satisfaction.
previously, my bedroom was such a mess. necklaces and clothes hanging here and there, a stack of semi-clean clothes in my dressing table seat, dozen pair of shoes scattered around, and few huge bags all over the floor. you can tell that i'm not a neat person. *shy*
but i'm tired to live like that! finally i decided to re-organize my closet and give space for everything i own. it turned out fun!
btw i think i need another hanger to separate necklaces and belts. it's too crowded there, don't you think?
and i still have no clue how to organized the shawls and scarves. i hang it with my clothes but apparently it's ineffective. in the end i just fold and pile them up. any other suggestion?

my friends ask me if i bought all the item i wore that day for this photoshoot particularly. i have to emphasize the fact that i had them before this planned. they don't easily believed someone actually wore latex legging to hang out. and they found krey shawl weird, especially with such bright color. oh, please. and the top is my aerobic top from years ago, nothing special about it. except the bold shoulder i made from plugging vella's shawl and aswin's sweaty towel (ew). ahaha... kreatip kan ayeeee...

after the photoshoot we went to karaoke parlor (acara super wajib), then headed to (apparently) the most happening place in Bandung, the nanny's pavillion. it was packed! we were far from got seated and our tummy was furious, so we decided to change our direction to the foodcourt besides, called black market. not bad. i had grilled ribs with soy sauce and pempek afterward. porsi kuli. and i met some of my college friends Rhilly, Runi and Riri (semuanya berawalan R ya bo?) also high school friend Shita there. bandung is so small, you can tell.
after the big treat for our tummy, we moved to the coffee beans. i had my favorite green tea latte and we were stay there all night laughing to each other and taking photos.

great night, especially when you don't have to spend much money. haha..

simple jeans and tee is almost everyone staple, including me. this 'uniform' is the safest thing to wear to campus. it's boring, but safe.

i wear anything to campus and apparently some people find it inappropriate (=overdressed). not that i care. however overdressed is sometimes better than underdressed, right? right?

but i don't feel like getting overdressed now. i stick to my staple, tee and jeans. at least i still have this interesting animal print scarf. :)

i actually like this blouse, besides the uproar print, it also came with the silky fabric, right fit and shoulder pads.

usually, i will throw the shoulder pads away very immediately. but we all know shoulder pads is 'in' again, right? anyway it doesn't make me look like rugby player, so i'm gonna let it stick this time.

and hey, check out the backside! i like deep back line, but i always fail to wear that, for these reasons:

a. my back is not really presentable, thanks to acne scars. (what you see is the best my back can be. blame it on photoshop. :p)

b. gampang masuk angin (nah, apa bahasa inggrisnya? XD) the problem is, my back is the weakest part of my body. when the wind hit it, i'm sick easily. and FYI, i feel my throat a bit sore right now, right after i wear that blouse. ha!

but however i still wanna give this blouse a try again someday..

i just purchased the crop top from cotton.ink's new collection: absolute essential. just like the name, it's absolutely essential! i really think it's something everyone should own in their closet for its versatility. they also came with the cutest pocket and pin!
at the first glance, i thought it will be tricky to wear. but after a few experiment, i just realize that this is actually the most essential thing ever.
now i'm gonna show you how my experiment went!

experiment 1
i never want to show my belly off, so hipster pants is out of the options. i wear the high waist one instead. and this pants is just perfect for the eighties vibe.

experiment 2
still in the high-waist field, but now i tuck the top into the pants. FYI this crop top has the perfect length, not too short, nor too long it still considered as a crop top.

experiment 3
err...it's not really another experiment since i just add a blazer and shawl (also from cottonink). but i wanna tell you i really love the color of this blazer. i don't know why, i always drawn into this lime-greenish color recently. it might be my new favorite color. lime green is the new grey. yay to colors!

clashing pattern. and the touch of green.

wow another lime green! but actually, this is an experiment of crop top over dress. the belt accentuate my waist, make me look slimmer. love it. haha!

ok now, this is something that gonna give my hubby heart-attack, LOL, but i actually like it. the turban is made from tubular convertible shawl, and i did some knot to the crop top. flashing my tummy just a bit, still tolerable..hehe..

here's the proof that the crops not only good for casual day but also for working time (at least for creative worker). i'm so gonna try this if i were working. but i'm not. now i miss my office.. sigh.

after those experiment, i can imagine plenty other ways to wear it. but eight is enough, i guess. being a stylist, a photographer also a model all at once is really tiring. and i don't want you get nausea for staring at me too long! ahaha...

The crop top has lost its grace since 1990s passed. After that, it was left behind where people don't wanna look back. Until now.

At the end of 2000s, crop top seems like awaken from its long sleep. Some designers brought it back to runway as they featured it on their collections along with street style muses. Soon, the crop top become considerable again.

I don't really surprised for its comeback. Everything 80's and 90's is on the top nowadays (for too long). From the basic leggings, grungy outfit to the shoulder pads. And if the shoulder pads can spring, why don't crop tops?

Personally, I don't like the crop top trend when it hit 90s. The image of spears and aguilera in it with their pierced belly button just left me blah. Unfortunately I don't really 'live' in 80s so I can't be a witness of how crop top worn by then. But as far as I concern, it was far more interesting. Well, I've been a fan of 80s clothes for a long time, sometimes people mistaken me for a girl lost from the time machine :p but I haven't really try this crop top thing. Maybe I still haunted by 90's star belly button and I really really don't wanna see anyone belly button nor to show mine.

Somehow the 09 crop top trend distracted me. I found it better to be worn with high-waist pants/skirts, another retro thing. Or maybe for an outerwear with body-con dresses. I guess it has many possibilities to wear with. I'm sure I'm gonna give it a try.

But of course, not everyone find it interesting. How about you? Are you interested to try this on or do you wish it will be dead (again) soon? :)

Ps: I don't have a flat tummy. I might be screwed in it.. Hahahaha...

Gettin' wild in Friday market

It's friday. And friday market in front of my campus is on!
Setiap hari Jumat, jalan ganesa Bandung berubah jadi pasar kaget yang dihiasi berbagai macam lapak. Mulai dari makanan sampe sepatu ada semua. Meskipun demikian, biasanya gw malas melihat2, karena berhubung posisinya deket masjid salman dan hanya ada di hari Jumat, tentunya pasar ini lebih banyak dikunjungi laki-laki yang abis solat jumat, sehingga yang dijual lebih banyak barang2 cowo.
Tapii disaat gw lagi celingukan sendirian abis diusir dari perpus yang mau tutup, mata gw melihat lapak baju secondhand yang menarik! Hohoho.. I love thrifted clothes!
It's a small lapak, but apparently yang. paling laris manis tanjung kimpul. Terbukti dengan betapa berdesak2annya tu lapak. dengan gadis2 buas yang haus akan baju2 murah.. *termasuk gw tentunya*
well, sebenernya ga banyak pilihan disini, tapi ternyata gw nemu2 aja dong baju yang nancep di hati.. I bought 2 dresses and 2 blouses for idr40k. Pretty cheap lahh..
I bought 2 blouses in the same theme: wildlife. Yes, I bought a snakeskin and leopard print blouses dan ibu2 dan gadis2 lain di lapak itu memandang gw dengan tatapan heran. "Kamana atuh macaaaann.." Hohohoho..auum!
Sementara dressesnya aga beradablaah.. Gw beli satu simple black dress dan satu dress chiffon motif kembi2 kuning menyala. (Selera lu nggii...). Ahay!
Tapi maap yak bajunya belom bisa 'mejeng' disini karena masih dalam proses pe-laundry-an. Janji dehh suatu saat nanti mata anda akan dipolusikan (is that a correct word?) dengan sesosok makhluk bermotif macan dan uler. Wekekeke..

new post after so long!
i feel so guilty for lack of responses and listings. so so sorry... you'll never know how much i wanna keep up with this blog, but i just can't.. my thesis is killing meee! :"(

anyhow, i'm back! (emang ada yang nyariin? :P)
this cotton ink shawl is new, and i love it too much i wear it everyday! tee hee... it remind me to AA circle shawl, only came with better price and more variety. they also develop their product frequently, i would like to purchase all! :D
the stud-ey cardigan, well it's obviously DIY.
while the big teardrop earrings are also new. there's an ethnic bazaar on PVJ yesterday and i can't help myself not to buy something from them! of course it's cheapo, mate. cheap but good. hehehe...
though it's not obvious, but my tee is actually a SORE tee, an indonesian band. i got it for free (yay!) from my hubby's friend. thanks, Idham!
btw, don't you think that green shawl really matched with my neon orange lips? :D

wow, blogging actually make me REAL happy! i wish i could do it more often...

another visit to another library. i borrow a book now. and i really, really, really have to work on my thesis!

i wear my sister's DIY bleached tee, my jeans, dangling earrings and my hi-sneakers. don't ask the brand. of course it all has no brand! hahahaha...

pardon my frown... i don't really wanna go, actually. i would be happy to stay at home and sleep. silly me.

but it's good for me to go. cos the weather is soo fine! it's sunny with soft wind and trees everywhere (in my campus), even flowers blooming!

a college girl

i went to campus to visit its library (the dark, dusty, smelly, spooky with no decent wifi connection i mention earlier in twitter).
i met many undergraduate student sitting and talking on many comfy spots in my campus. well, it's no secret that my campus have many comfy spot to sit and talk, hang out with our clique(we all know it's intended to study, by the way). i used to sit there for hours with my friends, and go home when the sun is almost gone. we took some pictures of us too sometimes. it was great. sooo fun!
now i miss it.
the spots still there (even more now), but my clique is gone. they're busy working and i'm busy with my thesis. i am practically alone. postgraduate program is just different. :(

and that kids, the undergraduate kids, make me all jealous.
not just their company, but also their ability to wear anything they want. when i was them, i like to wear anything extra ordinary.
in my campus, the art students tend to be different, to separate themselves from the technic and science student. that's why the art students like to wear anything 'different' so anyone can guess "it must be art student". silly i know...hahaha...

oh well, that was then. i don't know the situation now. it might have changed.

BTW, this is what i wear today (now, actually). not at all 'different' or else. i'm just normal people now. hehe.

well, i have such a good weekend! like usual, my husband came to town, we took a two days mall-hopping and DVD watching. apparently it's our weekend ritual.

i dragged him to the garage and forced him to do some photoshoot of me. haha! actually i'd like to do more photoshoot here and there, but my husband is not a photo guy.

BTW, today is his birthday! so sad we can't be together, but we had a great weekend and it's enough for me. i just wish him a great time today!

this is the second part of my post final/personal project. after behind the 'scene' pictures, here comes the 'scene'!

i made it as an attempt to use pleather's waste material.

we know, pleather (plastic leather) is everywhere these days. from our shoes to our jacket (at least my jacket..hehe). and their production process, for sure, also produce waste.

since it's not organic material, it can't be recycled by natural process. and the increasing of this type of waste have a potential to damage the environment.

that's why i attempt to do something to recycle the waste and turn them into somethig useful.
there's many ways to do that, but i choose the most interesting thing (for me), accessories and jewelry!

i used to be a free-spirited girl when it comes to clothing. I wore what I want, ignore what people think as long as I'm comfortable with myself. but then I realize everything's different once I get married. after some while, i finally meet my girls again! it's karaoke-meal-dessert-gossip-giggling time! :p

say hi to my pretty friends! they both were my high school mates. not only classmates, we're desk-mates! (Kiva was my desk mate when i"m on second grade, and Icha was my desk-mate when i'm on third grade) we were always together in high school. now we've grown up, walking on our different path, but we're still close friends!

Ode to little miss crafty

I was struck by the crafty bolt yesterday, and I bought anything I need to satisfy my craving hands. Including this little studs I've been wanting for months.

As soon as I got home, I let my fingers dance and voila! Here comes the studded pants and cardi along with two handcraft necklaces.

This is my today's outfit. Excited to wear my newest DIY project. And I love, love, love this pants! Studs make it more interesting, who knows it's dirt cheap? (Well, now you know)

I don't feel like showing my tired and greasy face right now. Though I never liked my face anywhere here either, this time I'm in the lowest low. Even red lipstick won't help. Sigh.

Shopping confusion

Have you ever feel like you bought too many for one particular item? I do. I just realize today, I tend to buy something I already owned. Maybe because I love it too much, but somehow I'm getting bored and need a little refreshment!
The thing is, I always fall for one object and never interested in others as it's just 'not me'.
I guess having a signature is good. But being stuck is not. Well, if I tend to fall in this particular object again and again, I could consider myself stuck. But if I refresh my closet with something that just isn't me, I think it's not wise either.
Maybe I should go thrifting and find something I didn't have before with no (much) guilty feeling. Haha!

As you might know, I post anything in this blog via email by my blackberry (that explain the annoying blackberry signature) because I don't have any internet connection at home. that's why i spent my days in warnet (hare geneeeee masih ke warnet???), cos my laptop is broken and i can't afford to buy new one...*hiks*But that's not the point!

The point is, for a long time, I finally see the face of my own blog on the wide screen. And I hate my own picture quality! Well, it looks fine on my bb, I just don't know it looks so gross on wide screen.

So, from now on, I'm gonna try to improve my picture quality by improving my photographing skill, from zero to about two? Haha. *Pesimists* At least until I could produce bright and clear photo. :-p

Casual dose

Home alone.

I really wanna stay at home all day but I can't. There are gazillion things I have to do outside, and I am so laazy...

Btw, this is my tuesday's outfit. I went to pizza hut to meet my friends from college. It's been a while since I met them, and this is totally awesome! Unfortunately, since we're too busy talking, story-telling and laughing, we forgot to take any picture.

For that day, I really wanna give my liquid legging some shot. Since I don't have a gut to wear it to campus, or anywhere with public transportation on the bright day light, I think it's time. I never be a legging-as-pants girl, but this legging is hard to resist not to wear as pants. I look like wearing a patent mirrory shine leather pants and gosh I love that! Blame my blingbling drag queen taste..

Well, since the pleather legging/pants is shiny enough to blinding people's eyes, I wanna keep the rest outfit casual. My picks are the batwing sweater and the baggy tee. Turn out the winner is the batwing sweater for its length that hiding my huge shiny bottom (sounds creepy, eh?) Haha!

I end up pairing it with that white purse and that white shoes. I'm conventional matching shoes and bags girl, you can tell.

Birthday night out

Ah-ha! Not the greatest birthday ever, but I'm quite happy.

I brought a cake to the office, then we (me and the rest of the co-worker including bosses) circling it, make some wishes and I blow the candle (err..lighter, actually. Haha!)

Then my hubby (who still here! Ecstating!) came to pick me and take me home before we had a birthday night out.

We had dine in Zenbu, Japanese restaurant. It's our second time there and we're still impressed by the food they deliver. Full delicacy!

And that's me and my hubby with his silly (or you might say scary) face. Haha!

Btw I forgot to captured some today's outfit photograph, but I'm wearing my(favorite) vintage blouse, gray waist belt, high waist jeans and black shoes. The interesting part is the gigantic earrings I wore which is strangely hidden in the wild bush of my hair. Haha!

I'm feeling slutty-ness right now. Maybe because my husband coming tonight? Jaaaa....

Hihihi, that's why I put this top and wear it as an extremely short dress along with my vintage velvet jacket. Give some air to my gigantic legs! Haha!

I thought it will be too predictable if I team it with tight o r leggings. But yeah, it's extremely short (since it's not even a dress) and I don't wanna follow the trend pam anderson and duffy bring (though I love duffy!). So I decided to put my lace tight one more time. It's more flattering and looks warmer. My legs said they're freezed already. Hehe...

Btw, I watched yes man for the second time and I still like it! I've been falling for zooey deschanel as my girl-crush since I saw her on failure to launch. But in this movie, she's waay cooler than before. And I like her songs here! I really wanna limewiring them, if it available.

Kemaren gw disuruh pembimbing tesis gw buat nyari buku 'penting' yang katanya bisa didapat dengan mudah dimana aja. Dan ternyata, gw cari keliling2 ke semua toko buku dan perpus yang ada di kampus, jahh.. Kaga ada!
In the other hand, gw malah nemu majalah ini! Mulanya aga terheran2, di kampus cap gajah yang identik sama orang2 nerd (yang bikin simulasi kuis di jam istirahat, fiuh!) ini ada aja lhoo yang jual teen vogue. Ga cuma ini, juga ada lucky, vogue, elle dan majalah2 impor lainnya. Bo, harganya 35ribeng aja pula. Gimana gw kaga histeriamamakita? Selama ini kalo mo nyari majalah impor murce harus jauh2 ke cikapundung, padahallll di kampus sendiri juga adinda! Hepi deh gwa!

so sorry for the lack of update, while i promote this blog on every social network i'm in! *shameless*

i was so busy on everything for the last days, and i don't know what to post since i have no time to take a quick snap of my outfit (but it's boring, so you don't miss anything).
for many quick jump here and there with my husband, i used to wear my most comfortable outfit, high waist jeans (celana anti masuk angin) and long sleeve t-shirt with jacket.

btw, i found this photo of my friend on the facebook, and i stole it! *big evil grin* i like every detail she puts in here. black lace, belted waist, and zebra print!

her name is Vella. she's a member of a 'gang' we're in. The nostalgic studding

It seems like studs are back in trend! I like this trend, it reflects the inner tough side of me.
Bloggers started to studded their apparel themselves. Ay, it remind me to myself back then (when I was their age. But I'm not that old!). It was 2003, punk and studs were all the trend (at least for me and my community). I bought a bag of studs and began to studded my bags, my shoes, my everything. It took a lot of work and injured my finger, but I was happy!

Now, when I'm years older, I still love it. The trend now seems to be more sophisticated and mature enough. I love everything on the picture!
But I guess the DIY studded give more satisfaction. I'm gonna give it a try (again) in more sophisticated way. I really like how the bloggers did it much better than I did oh-so-many-years-ago (I was kinda lame..haha!)
I wish I had time to do this. I waaant itt!

Aand this is me playin' dress up with my lace tights. I'm too lazy to layer it with anything so I wear it itself.
Not bad, but still, don't know where to go with this outfit. *sigh* I wish I could go back to my younger days when I still have the intention to go party.

Well, in my first styling experiment, I teamed my lace tights with this mini dress I got few months ago. The belt actually too loose for me, but I could wear it on my hips and make the outfit look different. More casual, I guess.

I was gonna playin' dress up with my lace tight when I found this pants, lying on the drawer. This is my mom's pants, but she never wear it, so I guess I could play with it.

Lacey legs

I just received this lace tights this afternoon, and I'm so excited! Though, in real life, it turn out to be more statement-y than I thought. I'm kinda getting cold feet to wear it on my daily activity.. Haha! (Yes, I ever had the tought)

My husband doesn't really like me in tights, so I will not wear it on the weekend, that's for sure (weekend: hubby time). The daily activity on weekdays is the only time I have, so I'm gonna try some way to make it more wearable for casual day.

But I love it, and it's fun to experimenting with. I try to layer it with my purple sheer tights (not shown here, my bad), and it turn out better than if I wear it alone. I guess if I wear opaque tight, it will look best! *another excuse to another shopping. Haha!*

Some clash for my busy day

I go out early in the morning, like any other wednesday ( to attend morning class!). I have class at 7, but I just woke up at 7.30. How crazy is that? I'm super lazy and my pillow always seduce me in a bad timing. Ghrr..

I need 30 minutes to take a bath, brushing teeth, pick up clothings, having breakfast, put on some lipstick and moisturizer, checking email at. blackberry (oh I so have time for it!), and running to campus, literally.

Fortunately for me, the lecturer was late either, so I'm not too late after all.

Well, in my rushing moment, I pick the first clothes in sight and it goes to this The Clash t-shirt from h&m. I'm hardly wear it since it too tight and too short for my preference, but today I want to give it another try. It turned out not so bad, I guess. Though the neckline's a bit too deep for a campus activity, and gaining so much attention from 'the real campus people'. I don't really care, I wanna leave the campus so bad anyway.

Oh, by the way, I just realized how much I love this necklace. It fit the neckline so well. I'm so 80's and I love it! Haha!

It's hot today, so I decided to wear something breezy! I found this pants in my (messy) drawer, and pull everything instantly. I'm glad I can wear anything to work, including shorts, as long as I wear proper footwear, or looking good ;-)

I really like the scarf, since I'm in love with anything animal print! Haha!

Actually, the blouse has its own scarf. But since it's black, I don't think it will matched the whole outfit, so I changed it with this little leopard print.

And I love the bag too. But I don't wear it a lot.

Btw, I would like to purchase some everyday earrings, but I don't know what to buy. Guess somebody could help?

Inside my bag

Long ago, I was a bag addict (kinda), and I liked to change my bag every single day.

But now, I find myself rushing every morning, there's no time to change my bag. I will wear the same bag for a long time until I decided to change.

And now, my bag of the season is this glossy chained bag. I found it on thrifted market in Bandung called gedebage, with excellent condition. It was only cost me IDR 30k! For a bag, the price is ridiculous, I guess...

Well, this is not quite a big bag, so the content is minimum. Fortunately, I don't really like bringing many things, so the bag's size fit me well.

And this is the content of my bag:

1. Blackberry curve. I cannot bear to live a single day without it. It's my (another) oxygen. I did everything with it, including this blog.

2. My Nokia phone. I forgot the type, sorry! Since I have blackberry, this phone is kinda abandoned.

3. Nine west wallet. My new wallet to replace my stolen wallet.

4. Elle notebook. Bonus gift from elle magazine long time ago.

5. Floral umbrella. The weather is so unpredictable. The umbrella is a must-haves

6. Blackberry data cable. The most important thing! I don't wanna trapped in the situation where my bb's battery is too low for radio use.

7. Clean&clear oil absorbing paper. My face is oily so I need this.

8. MAC lipstick. I like make ups but I hate touch ups. The only touch up I need is the lipstick.

9. Hairbrush. To tamed my lion hair, of course.

Today I found myself being in the March Sister magazine. And I feel like, waow! I never been in the magazine before, so this is exciting! Haha!

I am in the 'it designer' feature, for being a designer in a label called EVERY.

For you who might not knew yet, Sister mags is an Indonesian teenage magazine. It's considerably new, but the content is not bad at all. With Lily Allen in the cover, the march issue is worth to buy! *apalagi ada gwa-nya, wajib beli daaahhh! Hahaha*

Btw, I haven't seen her again after she was married, so it's like our first housewife-gang hang out! I'm so excited!

So, instead of wearing trousers like I used to, I wear rarely-worn skirt on this rare moment.

Electro magnifico

I was in the phase when I'm so addicted to cosmetics. I bought every single thing I need, from lipstick to eyeshadow, from red to blue. I wear make up everyday, for sake of experimenting.
Until I met one point where I feel I already had more than I need, along with my lack appetite of experimenting, and I always late to do make up before work. Then I stopped being addicted gradually (Actually it being replaced by shoe addiction, but let's hide the fact *shy*).

But somehow, I cannot live without make up. At least a lipstick. Errr, I'm sorry, I mean lipsticks-->one is never enough, frankly! Haha!

And today, I decided to wear an orange lipstick I rarely wear. It's called electro, from MAC. At the first time I saw it, I was kinda shock, since it's shocking orange! When my friend saw it, spontaneously she said, "how come you buy something like that?!" Eheheheh...

Somehow I like it. It's not too frightening on lips (or on photo, sorry for the lack of image quality.. I have no camera in handy so I took it with my bb instead). It's bright orange with the same (or less) amount of attention you'll get when you're wearing red. It's great to be mixed too. Mix it with red and you'll have pretty coral!

It's not my everyday wear, but it's great to brighten up my day a bit!
